Default How to read out pressure values from ZF transmission with SDD

Hi, can anyone give me a hint to read out the pressure values from the automattic transmission ZF6HP26 from my 2003 X350 XJ6 3.0?
I could find the mA reading of the drivers, whom are sending the current to the solenoids, but not the pressure.
I did this with the data recorder from SDD.
The pressure would be the answer signal to indicate, how good the transmission still is. I have some issues with it.

Hi, thanks for your answer.

Reflashing did not work, I need a new TCM. Looks like BMW shares the same TCU and it is flashably by the local Jaguar workshop.
Up to now I don't have an evidence for this theory, but it's a good start point.

I have disassembled the transmission mechatronic, the solenoids look very good, no dirt noticeable. Only the adapter gasket bewteen oil pump and mechatronic was approx. 1-2mm shorter than the new one.
I think the pressure did come into the mechatronic as it should. The WÜK TCC did not shift as it should, so the was cycling in rpm, but not in hot condition, there it worked.
The oil smelled as new after 6000 km additionally. So the gearbox in mechanical shape is fine.
Tomorrow I will try to get a new TCM from ZF as spare part, or a used transmission to pull it out.

You are aware that these trans tend to surge a bit but only when cold?

Hi,

If you need a spare TCM - PM me. I have one (and a valve body) removed from a 2004 X350 NA.

Yes, but it was too much, and I had issues with shifting 2-3 and 3-2-1 downshift. I expect the last fault has something to do with air I take, because the long trim values of the engine are too high in idle. I suspect the air flow sensor, the air intake is ok, no false air coming in, Pcv valve is already exchanged.

Good news: This morning I got the answer from two sources: Reprogramming is possible via Jaguar, so I decided to rebuilt the valve body with the Sonnax Zip Kit.
It took in total 10 hours with much care. So tomorrow I hope to get the date, when the flashing of the TCM can happen.
I have made a blog (in german) with many pictures.
The ZIP kit is very interesting. All the end caps are now sealed with an o-ring. previously they have not been sealed, so pumping around the particles in the transmission increases wear on them and the pressure is not as it should. So Im not wondering, why the clutch is tending to surge.

I will let you know, when the transmissions is running again.
