Default iPhone 5 with ACM

Hey Everyone,

I'm considering upgrading to the iPhone 5 and was wondering if anyone has tried it with the ACM using the lightning to 30 pin adapter that they sell. I currently have an iPhone 4S and use it to stream Pandora in the car all the time and would hate to lose that functionality, if it doesn't work I'll just hold on to this phone as long as I can.

Thanks,

Mathew

I've got relatives and coworkers with the coveted iP5, so I could ask to borrow their phone and 'adapter' next time I see them with it. It may be a few days, but I'll update if nobody else chimes in first on its operational confirmation.

Saw my sister today (new ip5 upgrader) but she hasn't purchased the 4->5 adapter, says its out of stock everywhere, so she can't listen to her phone in her car right now (she has a VW) The rest of her family (three other ip5 owners) doesn't have any adapters either.

I've got a coworker I'm going to ask next...he was absent from his desk today. I hope to catch him tomorrow.

So Im going to ask though it might be posted somewhere. My partner has a 06 BMW and syncs his phone through the radio to talk hands free. Anyone know if thats doable in an 05 XJ8 ? Matt...... Matt.... hint hint, LOL. I dont care about the music but hands free would be nice.

John, I've added the phone module, a bluetooth module and microphone, and now I have hands free operation of the phone. It was a little pricey for parts, but I did all the labor myself...not very difficult at all, actually. It was all plug'n play.

I got a salvage PSE (phone module) and mic with graham's help from the UK (US ebay pickins was small to nonexistent) paid $300 I think. The bluetooth module was $350, newest model available from a dealer in Ohio (best price I could find). Oh, I also needed a lead link wiring harness for the boot to replace what I had already, since my fiber optic harness didn't have an open connection for the PSE. The harness was $50 I think.
