Just Bought an 2004 XJ8 VDP

Morning all!

if you could be so kind as to point me to a thread or threads that explain how to fix my over the bump creaking on my front suspension. I went over some speed bumps yesterday and today and the front suspension creaks when bouncing.

I just got this car. It’s in super good condition just some minor things I’ve noticed while driving it.

Thanks all!

Hopefully it's just a bush. Just jack up the car and check for play in all the suspension components.

It may be the upper wishbone ball joint which I have seen and heard before.

Also when hitting dips straight on there is a pop. Car seems to ride fine just that pop when hitting a bump suddenly at an incline angle. Going to jack up the car for the first time today and check it out.

Love both mine, but the wear parts of the suspension can provide you with a few hours of entertainment.
Remember a lot of the parts cross to Ford, as well as S Type, parts.
Catching up on things let go, seems to be the biggest issues with most of these cars.
The original investment price, seems to prevent abuse of these cars, from their original owners anyway.
Compared to say a used Toyota, or Honda.

So had my back tires replaced this morning since the previous owner had SUV tires on the back.

Saw theae worn out bushings. Think they need to be replaced?

Ya they look bad. What parts do I need and how easy are they to change out. I’m sure I need it done on all 4s if the backs are like this.

The rear links are pretty easy to change out, and very common on these cars. You'll need an alignment afterwards but the removal/install is pretty straight forward.

What connector is this

Same connector. Is this to my rear sensors that aren’t working?

Anyone have this hot wired looking scenario?
