Default Need Input please

Hey Guys...
Came across a 2008 XJ8 VDP, this black on black has 24K on the clock, and is selling for 40K. I have checked kbb and they list dealer price at around 42K, with a trade in value of about 37K. Number wise it appears to be a fair deal. Have not looked at Insurance costs or maintenance costs yet.
That being said, I'm hot after an XK, but not so sure it would meet our needs 100% of the time. I only say this because a few times a year, we do haul passengers. I know if I do pull the trigger on this VDP, I'll always want an XK Coupe.
Any "issues" with this particular model and year? I'm looking for comfort on long road trips (1000 miles +) am tired of being surrounded in plastic and would like some luxury, looking for reliability & dependability. Any and all input greatly appreciated!

Thanks, James

If you really like the XK cars I say go for it. You can always rent a big sedan for the few times you need passenger capacity.

I have an 05 XJR. Great cars but I have decided that my next Jag will be an 07 or better XK. There have been people in the back of the XJR maybe 3 times in 3 years. Just love the look of the XKs. I like them even better than the Aston Martins.

I got it for 43K (certified pre owned) kbb has it listed at 45k, so wasn't a great deal, but a fair deal. But did get .9% interest on financing. less than 1% locked in interest rate, I had to do it.

Yeah but the certified pre - owned is a great insurance card to be holding.
So what are your thoughts on the car a few days in?
I like the cars a lot, I think the 2 weak spots for me are that the dash is pretty bland as are the head light shapes/style.

Well needs to go back to the dealer on Friday to have them put the 2 new rear tires on it, will also have them check the alignment as it pulls pretty good to the left. Also will be taking a road trip up to Chicago this month, so 2400 miles I should have a pretty good opinion on it then...for now, it's a blast to drive!
