Default New Arnott air shock, not oem right?

So I figured out I have a big leak in top passenger shock, drivers side shock was replaced before I bought car.

Question is... I believe I have the new shock arnott sells on drivers side, not a rebuilt one because the top of shock has the silver cone which electrical connector plugs into with no 17mm nut on top of shock like the oem shock has....
Just making sure I do have the "new" arnott, not rebuilt

Thanks for shining light on this anyone!

I just installed a 'rebuilt' Arnott shock this evening, and though I don't have a silver cone, like you described, I don't have a 17mm nut either. My four nuts are 13mm, just like the original was. If there's something else I can help describe for you, just let me know.

Thanks for the help H20boy,

I wanted to make sure I got the part before the weekend so I already ordered the new shock, however... you say your oem shock didn't have a 17mm on the top of shock? Right below where the electrical connector plugs in. There is also the 4 nuts surrounding the shock that you mentioned. Or does the rebuilt shock only have the 4 bolts? Its right where the electrical connector plug into on my old shock, and on the arnott website they have a video on installing shock and the old shock they pull out of the XJ has a nut on the center top, same place the electrical connector plugs into I believe, is that where I threw you off?

The arnott shock that the previous owner had installed on the drivers side, I am pretty certain is new....reason being that the top of shock has that metal cone/cover I mentioned, below the metal cone is the electrical connector surrounded by white grease with no 17mm nut in the center of the shock like the oem shock on opposite side.
