Default One side brake lights

One side break lights; I have changed brake light switch with no success; I have also checked fuses and looked for damaged wiring, and now mysteriously the tail lights stopped working; does anyone have any idea.

Have you used a volt meter at the light socket to ensure you are getting 12VDC at the bulb socket when brake pedal is pressed?

Hi lzarc1,

You can download the Electrical Guide for your year and model at jagrepair.com, courtesy of our forum member Gus. The schematic for the rear lamps will give show you where the most likely failure points are. If you'll post the year and model of your Jaguar, I'll be happy to post a direct link to the specific manual for your car. It's a good idea to add this information to your signature line so others don't have to ask.

Cheers,

Don

Hi lzarc1,

Apparently you clicked on the "Report Post" triangle instead of the "New Reply" or "Quick Reply" buttons, but I did receive your information. Your car is a 2002 XJ8. You can download the correct Electrical Guide for your car at the link below, courtesy of our forum member Gus:

Cheers,

Don
