Default Plastic Clips For Trim, Door Panels, etc.

There are a bunch of cheap kits of plastic clips on Amazon like this one:
Amazon Amazon

Has anybody bought a similar kit and found it useful? I am asking for my 2004 XJ8 in the US.

Hi saxandliz,

Sure, plastic fasteners like those are always handy to have on hand, but don't expect the kit to have every clip you will ever need for a Jaguar or any other car. It seems to be one of Murphy's laws that the clip you break will be unique to Jaguar and No Longer Available.

But at $13.99 for 421 clips and a pry tool, how can you go wrong?

Cheers,

Don

I recently bought a similar set on eBay, 360 pcs plus pry tool, I believe. My purpose was to find replacements for the clips holding the radiator shield in place. Out of 360 pcs, none fit! Nor did any fit my boot lining after I broke the original clips when removing them to repair the rear number plate assembly! For the radiator shield, I ended up buying 6 clips @ the outrageous price of ~$6 per from SNG Barratt. For the boot lining clips, I removed all the clips of any kind that I could find on a 2004 Jaguar VDP at a junk yard! Generic clips seem useless! I sought to return the clips purchased on eBay for a refund...seller refunded my money but did not even want them back. If you find a similar junkyard vehicle, remove all available and accessible clips for future use, as they may not be available or relatively expensive, at best!
