Question re: location of 10-pin audio plug in 2004 XJ8
Hello all,
I am attempting to install a Motorola IHF-1000 hands-free bluetooth kit in my 2004 XJ8. I have taken out the center console in order to splice into the unused white 10-pin plug that, in some models, is supposed to be under the arm rest, but there is no such plug in the 04 XJ8. Does anyone know where the telephone to head unit wiring is located in the 04 XJ8?
Thanks

Tried the rear ac vent route. There are 4 plugs: 2 for lamps, 1 for lighter and a brownish plug, not plugged into anything, with 9 pins (one pin spot is empty). My 04 XJ350 should be prewired, as it has the large telematics plug and the fiber optic cable in the boot. I was able to connect the IHF1000 bluetooth unit by splicing into the wires on the head unit and it works, but no muting when placing call (connected the mute cable on the bluetooth module to the blue #7 pin on the head unit harness, but nothing happens).
