Arrow Rear Main Seal Oil Leak :/

Just had my Transmission serviced this week at my local European Shop. Car recently hit 74,000 miles so it was time to change the fluid, update the software and all that mess, I also had them replace the Mechatronic's Sleeves under the Valve Body by request just as a preventative measure since I've learned they are rubber parts that can wear on these ZF's. (maybe overkill there?) They kept referring to them as Conductor Sleeves or something but I think I made it clear I was talking about the correct 6 rubber seals.
Total Service $1,052 and change (((((:

ANYWAY they do a pretty thorough inspection that includes pictures which gave me a nice laundry list of things to attend to that (at least me that is) can't afford to do all at once.. Lol

But here's the leak:

I'll probably take it somewhere else for this. I think they do good work but they have me quoted at $1,100. so it will have to wait for the time being.
Anyone had this problem and wanna share their experience or give advice ? Thanks

I am having the same leak as well among others, although mine is 154K and I don't think I'll be addressing this issue. I'll just make sure checking the oil level and keep a quart of oil in the car at all times. Unless someone has instruction on DIY this job without a post lift, I'll have to live with this problem.

Also having the same issue on my 2001 XJR aas going to use a little lucas oil stop leak just putting little in at a time until the leak had at least sorted itself for the time being but then i read theres a 17mm bolt above the rear main seal that tends to loosen over time i havent checked on mine yet but I definitely intend to as well a lose bolt can back all the way out and then next thing you know your dumping oil thinking its a leak when really your bolt is 2 miles down the road and the obvious catastrophic failure that could cause although i havent heard of that i cant imagine its impossible any how maybe there isnt an issue with the seal and the 17mm plug bolt is whats leaking

You do realize that the transmission has to come out to replace the seal and or the bolt you are referring to? Very pricey. If the leak is not excessive live with it.

not sure how else youd replace the rear main seal lol if you love your car enough youll do anything lucas stop leak is designed to swell the seals more then the high milage oil worked fantastic on an audi S line twin turbo i had at universal technical institute very small passages and that worked great went from dumping oil like it had indigestion to maybe a drip here and there if i used it it would only be to buy time to accumulate not only correct tools/stands for the job but also for the winter to go away and warmer weather to appear thank you for your insight as its always valuable!
