Default Remote Problem 2006 XJ8

Hello. Suddenly both of my remotes are able to lock the car, open the trunk, but cannot UNlock the car. It's obviously not the battery and it's the same with both remotes. I can unlock the car for now by sticking the key into the door (the old fashion way). Dealer wants $380 just to look at my car! Any one have a clue?
Thank you in advance.

Do you have a Jaguar specific reader?
The Foxwell NT 510 with the Jaguar download checks many of the the modules.
The drivers door module, is just one that it checks.
At $129, with one free download, a pretty good deal.
The download was a problem for me.
One already down loaded with the Jaguar program would be better.

Possible bad connection on plug or socket on driver's door module..

Try first looking for codes and reboot vehicle ie touch battery leads together after disconnecting from battery,

Sometimes erasing the code will resolve the problem.
