Replacement Headlining
Just wondered if anyone knows where to get a new headlining for my X350 with sunroof, found non sunroof suppliers but none with. |
I suggest you find a local (classic car) trimmer. He can remove it, repair it and replace it.
It will not be a cheap job but it will be good. Ideally someone who works for himself. |
I need a new headliner too. There are descriptions of doing it on the X308 forum. For our cars the back sea ha to come out. Seeming not a difficult job, just tricky.

sticks very quickly so you do not want to "mis-position it". You do have to take down the sunroof frame to get out the slider. The material is available on Ebay. A shop in Houston, Stiches Upholstry, Hwy 6, replaced my headliner and they did a great job. Not sure how I would have taken the liner out myself. 2007 XJ8, 63K miles [with sunroof] |
IIRC, Tberg over in the X150 XK forum was getting custom headliner materials for some of the guys & gals in that section. Might be worth a PM to see if he can get you set up. There should be a thread on it there too

I am still deciding whether to use either suede of knit cloth. I suppose I should do the rear shelf while I am at it. Any tips on shelf removal after the rear seat is out? I have the VDP sun blind.
