You'll be hard pressed to find something more reliable than a 2003 and up S-type.

Yes I will all ways buy in the Uk its 40% cheaper in the uk than France.
I have an insurance in France and no need to change the plate.
ITS works well I cant get any points in France because I have not got a French licence.

Err, I think that you should check closely, before you discover the hard way that your insurance is invalid.

In the past, you might have got away with it, not any more.

Also the EU are working towards reciprocal agreements, so speeding violations will eventually start to find folk.

 

Yes I am aware of the problem on your S-type. The XJ or any recent Jag is not known to be remarkably better or worse in terms of reliability.
