Yes I don't want to risk the second tcm. Shifting works quite well, only 1-2 and 2-1 is not good, it's very strong and only sometimes ab bid softer. The other shifts are close to as they should be, but 1-2 is not very often shifted, so maybe it takes just a longer tim for recalibration.

Usually 1-2 and 2-1 are the first adaptions to set. Hoping something mechanical is not showing its ugly head... I would scan for codes...

Hi, no faults present, but it's shifting really hard from 1-2 and 3-2-1 is also clunky. 5-6 is also a bid hard.
in the next days, I will exchange transmission against the one from the scrap yard, including torque converter, which is also faulty on my current one in the car.

Why not just perform a 'CLEAR ADAPTATIONS' and let the gearbox adapt??

It has already adapted, but only 1-2 is still bumpy, all the others have been bumpy too, but are already adapted.
looks like my c clutch has an issue, because it is affected in shifting1-2 and 5-6.

The old TCM probably has the adaptions from the donor vehicle/trans. Typically when swapping a TCM one performs a clear adaptions and flash to the vehicles PCM.

Is the OP sure the donor trans is mechanically sound?

I guess you mean if the donor trans is mechanically good with sound. Well the scrap yard said it was running well and did not have any issues, before they disassembled it. There is also a warranty on it.

So you think the adaptions must be reset, but I'm wondering, why 1-2 is still digital shifting and the others are fine, only 5-6 is also a bid bunpy. It must be related to the c clutch.

In the Sonnax documentation for the zip kit is mention 1-2 bind up. In german it is hard to get an translation for bind up. stick together or connected doesn't really make sense to me. Could you please explain what's mentioned with bind up?

Zip kit documentation:
There is stated clutch D responsible for bind-up 1-2. What does this mean?

Adaptions got resetted, was quite tricky, only at the third attempt it worked, before flashing failed and the car got a lot of faults (config E) wrong calibration file for flashing TCM - the same fault, which I hade while I have tried to flash it with moongoose. The IDS testers has been much faster than SDD with integrated IDS V130. In all it took 1 hour for three attempts.

Result: After adaptions learning tour, 1-2 got better, but still not as it should and a bid hard, but improvement. Deaccelerating works better and better on 6-5-4-3, 3-2 is a bid clunk and 2-1 is a bid more clunk, so you can feel it brakes the car immediately down with the clunk noise. I did all these shiftings the full morning for about 2 hours 5 times N - D rolling 5 seconds, N -D , same for R and a lot of shifts from 0-100 km/h (62 mph), more than 10 times as ZF states. with moongoose.
Next test will be with cool transmission to see, how the clutch (TCC) is performing.

So my impressions is, it will not be better than this in future. So it must be related to the clutches and brakes in the transmission.

Hi Sochi, I have replaced the valve body in between and it shifts now really good.
but one thing is still left: TCC is rpm cycling, not as much as before, but still 100-200 rpm in part load.

When I check the fuel trim, I can see too much air in idle, 3 and 9, under load 0 and 3 total.
I have replaced the inlet manifold gaskets and the gaskets of the two rpm depending flaps.

Update: all gaskets are fine in gasoline operation the difference in idle and load are about 2-3% in total and difference.
So the lpg system is in idle running too low.
Could it also affect the tcc?

I will check now, if the values are changing in gasoline operation instead of lpg today.

These are the measured values:

This error more than likely means there is some configuration that is in your VID block that doesnt match the VIN.
I had something similar happen to my XJR - It flashed the 4.2 NA TCM file instead of the 4.2 SC, this was due to the SDD not correctly reading the data and mistakenly thinking my car was NA. The only way I fixed this was to reformat the computer and do a fresh install of the SDD software, once that was done It read the config data from my car correctly.
