Default Sunroof headliner

The headliner on my sunroof is sagging. It is disconnected at the middle of the back edge and hanging down about 3 or so inches. The rest of the headliner is fine, it's just the sunroof that has let go.
How do I fix this? Do I have to remove the whole headliner or can I get in there some other way?
Thanks!

Unfortunately the headliner does need to be dropped down, and then the entire sunroof assembly is removed from the car to get the sunshade out.

It would make sense to replace the entire headliner at one time. If the sunroof part has let go, the rest of it is not far behind. Common issue on these cars.

Is there an alternative to the 1300 price point of the factory headliner that will match?

Mine is finally starting to come down in multiple place 12 years later.

I have a LWB which supposedly means you can get it in through the door.

can some one confirm the sunroof is the same between im guessing x350 and the s type's.
if in fact they are the same then it does come out from the top with the glass out . two clips and four screws to remove the glass . then remove two screws to remove the wind deflector .
i took my sunroof panel out and washed it both sides a couple of months ago ,
looks brand new.
its a good time to clean out the gutters , and clean/ grease the sliders and tracks and worm drives from up top at the same time . best to have two people to re align the glass.

Just take the car to a trim shop and have them do the headliner. You can get the material and do it yourself, but I found that the amount of deep contours on this car's headliner make it worth paying someone with expertise.
