Box are you sure you need SDD to add the changer?

When I added VACM and Bluetooth modules I went thru some recognition routine on the head unit display and they were both recognised.

If you're vehicle is equipped, then yes. Otherwise you'll need SDD. The OP didn't specify what system his vehicle is equipped with.
