Pulled the originals off my XJR a couple months ago. One front is an Arnott rebuild, assume comfort.
All four are good. The originals are 9 years old and 99,000 miles. But no leaks.
Do you plan on repairing yourself?

I cant use the Arnott rebuild but am interested in the rear ones you have
I will still be looking for a full set that has top seal leaks

I have managed to fix my units that had top seal leaks but the fix is well beyond a diy job and is not achievable for most. I need some spares to test a DIY fix. I need some unmodified units to test as I cant do that on my struts due to the repair.

Cheers

Default How do tell if the top is leaking?

I do not think mine are leaking. Car could sit for weeks without drop.
With the number of companies replacing the air bladder today, it seems that this could be diy.
My Arnott is a rebuild. Not sure what they do outside of bladder, Polish, and paint. They look nice.

34by151,

Our front right top seal leaks in cold weather, so I will anxiously await news of any DIY remedy you come up with. I've had an idea gestating, but have not yet found the time to try it.

Cheers,

Don
