Exclamation Washer Fluid

Have a quick question, I recently put Rain X washer fluid into my XJ8 but now I'm getting a low washer fluid message. I noticed fluid leaking on the front left under the headlights but thought nothing of it. I assume there must be a problem, all help is greatly appreciated. I had no code before adding the fluid but now I do have one since I added it, makes no sense. Thanks

Like how recently ? The screen and headlight washers combined use up a hell of a lot of fluid in winter with headlights being on more. Headlight washer is very generous with fluid in my experience.

Of course it might just be coincidence, and you have a crack in the reservoir. Inspection is a PITA as you have to take off the wheel arch liner.

I put it in yesterday and within minutes got the message low washer fluid, never had the message before until now. I put probably half a bottle in there. The chamber I put it in has a blue flip door, hope I put it in the right one pretty sure I did lol.

Ok so I've found the leak but need to know how to get to it. Seems to be pissing out right behind the drivers front tire. All help is appreciated to get this fixed as its not detrimental but I like everything to be in working order. Going to change the oil as well today. Thanks!

It could be just a pipe has come off, as reservoir leaks are very uncommon.

What's the best way to check and see if a pipe came loose? Also how much oil do I put in? On here it says 6 liters but at my local shop it's calling for 6.9 liters. Thanks!

Remove that under tray yourself, that'll expose a lot. If you need more, you may have to pull the bumper...the hoses are clipped to the bumper. My guess is pressure blew one apart at a fitting. Those headlamp washers plug easily.

Thank you very much, going to pull the car onto the ramps in a few. How much oil do I put in? I'm changing the oil filter as well. Thanks!
