I should mention that the car feels snappy with the new mufflers. Perhaps they unlocked a few points.

Thanks! I hadn't gotten it dialed in until yesterday, but it sounds like the factory would have done it - had they thought of the 20-60hz sound range. 🙂

In all honesty, I'm not sure I like the sound. It's quieter than the stock mufflers with the x pipe but with a deeper rumble. Not what expected. Maybe 200 cel cats may help.
Give them a week or so to open up and break in. They get a bit louder. But the 200 cel cats will definitely up the volume.

Fixed the "engine coolant low" issue

The plug at the sensor had crumbled and the pump harness plug had corroded pins.
The sensor routes though the pump harness which has the sensor, aux heater and intercooler pumps on it.

Repaired the harness by replacing all the pins in the plug and socket.
Repaired the sensor my making a new plug. I inserted 2 pins (covered in heatshrink) into the sensor socket, the filled the socket with mold making silicone. I then spliced in a new plug/socket into the harness

Cheers

Spent more money on my cat, bought a pair of Magnaflow 4inch bullet type mufflers for the rear. If the GF ever finds out how much I spent on it, there would be a cat fight.

I just installed the Mina intake tube and air intake. Now I can't even hear the exhaust!

I have the opposite issue, I can't hear my SC over the exhaust. Might have to go the twin screw SC route

I've gone with Magnaflow for exhaust
Magnaflow hi-flow cats (200 cell I think)
Magnaflow X-pipe
Had the custom exhaust shop cut out the resonators & weld in straight pipes
Stock rear mufflers, but that will be changing on Tuesday, my Magnaflow bullets arrived and are eagerly awaiting to greet the neighbors/neighborhood

Induction:
Mina Gallery pipe
K&N panel filter

I'm still deciding on SC pulley, gathering more info before

Today I also received the Mina pulley. Sadly, the puller I have will not work with the oem pulley. I've had since 2008 when I installed a pulley on a Mini Cooper S.

Sounds like your exhaust is going to sound pretty nice. Post videos.

After installing the x pipe, Mina exhaust, Mina Intake tube and air filter, the car feels much faster. Now the supercharger whine is very noticeable. Pretty much eclipsing the exhaust.

I'm pretty much done with my XJR with the exception of two thing I have to do. LSD and install the pulley I got from Mina.

I want an LSD pretty bad. My question is after I order it from Green Cars, what else do I need. Shims, etc.

Can any reputable drivetrain shop install this?

I didn't check but what brand is the core filter supplied by Mina? I didn't oil the filter. I probably have to, right?

Default Terraclean and Remap XJR X358

So, this weekend I have had the car Terracleaned, Remapped, valeted and booked in for a major service by Harwoods, Crawley, main dealer.

On top of that, I've ordered the eline drilled and slotted rotors from R1 as per Cambo's recommendation. Booked the calipers in for the full monty remanufacture and paint job with BCS.

I can highly recommend the remap from https://viezu.com/ the difference is night and day......had mine done by Ant, local guy to East Grinstead, 07734 310079 a very knowledgeable and friendly guy, covers the South East and well worth a call....he also did the Terraclean....

Once the calipers and rotors turn up I'll get them, plus braided hoses fitted by Arun Jaguar, then a full detail by Outrun in Chichester!!

Busy day.....

I didn't get the Mina air filter section, just the elbow. From what I've heard the filter is just a cheapy. I put a K&N in the original filter box.

Are you going to do any performance test/dyno before and after the pulley install? I might do the Mina pulley too, I don't want to screw around with grinding down the sc snout, when there's reports that the the XJR runs quicker with 1.5lb not the 2.5-3lb pulley.

Replaced driver side engine mount this weekend. Not as difficult as I had expected. Had to use a ridiculous amount of wobble extensions to reach the bolts, but everything went well.

I think that there are 2 thoughts in their minds when they see a Jag:

"Nice car" or "rich *****"

Tore apart my front passenger side suspension last night aiming to replace the straight control arm and wheel knuckle ball joint. But I got stuck at separating the balljoint from the arm because Harbor Freight had run out of their separator tool and the biggest hammer I have is only 16oz.

Well, Monday I took my car into a professional repair and paint shop I have used a few times before. My current car is in Ice Blue and I had noticed a couple places showing the usual "Creeping Lurgy" corrosion syndrome so well known to X350/358 owners. I had tried to do these myself, as I had had little trouble with the previous car painted in Jaguar Racing Green. However getting an aerosol paint match was impossible. One can was too silvery the other too dark. I finally got a reasonable match at one site using the two cans alternatively.

However life is too short, I am too busy, and the weather has been unremittingly bad recently, so I've handed the car over to them. They did a brilliant job on the rear bumper when persons unknown scraped the rear off-side corner overnight. I had not had the car for even 48 hours !!!!!

So tomorrow I pick the car up and hopefully all will be well. These guys are good but it is not cheap, obviously.

Edit
Perfect job today when I picked the car up (Thursday 25th June) !!

Ok, I got the Harbor Freight ball joint separator and that did the trick with a loud BANG! Pressed the old ball joint out fairly easily but then couldn't figure out how to press in the new one because the curved arm of the wheel knuckle gets in the way of where the press screw should be. So after many grunts and curses, I juryrigged the press and tubes so that the screw remains on the bottom of the arm and the ball joint is pressed in using the opposite end of the C clamp. I'll take some photos when I do the other side.

I ran out of time so that was it for last night. I should be able to button everything back up tonight.

Rebuilt the air compressor on my 05 XJR @ 74.9k miles.
Andy's kit was a piece of cake to install. Removing the compressor's intake tube clamp was a PITA!

Next up is figuring out how to aim my high beams..
