Hey guys think I'm going to go for the staggered wheel setup, I found some wheels just like these one in the picture from the other thread except they are all chrome. I'm thinking of having a shop paint the rims mostly black but keep select chrome accents, should come out nice. I'll be sure to post a pic.
They should look insane on the British racing green 2004 Jaguar XJR I've been restoring over the past year and a half. She comes out of paint next week and the interior is mint as can be for a 2004, no damage or much wear on the leather seats surprisingly. I even had the worn leather steering wheel and j-gate/leather shifter knob combo swapped out so that everything is looking mint. May have to put this one on a boat to California to keep it from rusting out here in Hawaii... the salt air and humidity is brutal on cars on the islands but I do split my time between California and here each year.
I read somewhere that there were only about 1,400 of these 2004 Jaguar XJR made worldwide. Does anyone know if this is accurate? Also, I read somewhere that 2004 was the first year of the aluminum body for the XJs is that correct as well? May be a nice one to put in a garage for 30 years. With the way the Jaguar brand is progressing I wonder if these would appreciate much. Or do you guys think one would need to find a Super v8 Portfolio to see a big appreciation in these XJs when they become classics?
