X358 XJR vs X250 XF Portfolio with 5L..Which one is a better every day car?

I had, and tracked, a 5L XF courtesy vehicle from my dealer.
I averaged about 23-24mpg excluding track use and I was pretty heavy on the gas pedal.
Acceleration is quite nice, especially in sport and dynamic mode....traction control is very intrusive. Notable understeer.
Overall, quite a nice car, though the interior of an x350/358 will feel more luxurious.
Don't the 5L and 4.2SC make pretty similar power

I own a 2007 x358 XJR and can only comment on this car and tell you with conviction that they are wonderful vehicles. Fuel economy is very reasonable, thanks to the 6 speed mercedes transmission. I cannot comment on the 5L XF, but can say the x358 is an excellent vehicle. It took some time for Jaguar to get this car right but 2004 and later models are very solid.
