Default XJ Air suspension ride height adjustment

Jag XJ8 LWB 2005.
I notice around 2010-12 there was quite a lot of talk about developing a manual ride height adjustment module/kit - I think WhiteXKR was leading the way on this as an alternative to the Arden product which is/was very expensive.
Did this ever materialise? and if so is it currently marketed?

Do you want to lower your car?

Hello Viper1996.
Yes, I want to be able to manually lower the car when passengers are boarding ( I use the car for chauffeur work) then resume ride height once they are in the car before driving away.
Could an electrically operated bleed valve be installed on the valve block with a link to inhibit the operation of the compressor until the bleed valve was closed?
I thought Range Rover offered this facility on the Vogue which might be a way seeing that the two cars share similar suspension set ups......
Any ideas out there?

The compressor doesn't directly raise the suspension, it charges the reservoir when its pressure reaches the low limit. It's air from the reservoir that raises the suspension; when fully charged it has enough air to fully raise the suspension without running the compressor.

Ah, that`s interesting. Am I right in thinking that the reservoir is part of the compressor unit (from my observations on ebay and other sites)?
If so maybe the mods I need to do could be incorporated into this unit?
Any thoughts?

Nope, they are entirely separate units. The compressor is foward of the engine somewhere behind the front bumper/fender; the reservoir and the valve block are in the boot/trunk, underneath a cover over which sits the spare wheel.
