Xj8 '04 Electrical Problems, Transmission, brakes??? Any suggestions
I have couple of problems and wanted to know if anyone had dealt with the same issues.
1) Electrical: I turned on the engine and my dash told me my right blinker is out. I turned the engine off and it cleared it. Another time, the radio wasn't working. Turned off the engine and it fixed it self. Another while driving the dash said the blinker wasn't working. I turned the car off and it's fine. I haven't seen any problems since (month later).
Could this be electrical or the car just needed to be rebooted like computers since they are all "computerized"?
2) Transmission: When I accelerate it has a jerk like it is taking too long to shift into gear. Even when driving and accelerate it occasional does that too. Is this the transmission going? And is the Transmission usually covered under "extended" warrantee? (yes I know I should read my contract, just thought generally speaking)
3) Brakes: Not being the original owner. When I brake i feel like it is not even, like the rotors are not perfect, it has like a rolling hesitation feel. It was checked out at the dealership for several days, had some adjustments made but I still feel it, just not as bad. Do you think it might have had some side collision that wasn't reported? I had the title checked out before purchase and it was clear.
Thanks ahead of time.
New "jag" owner, not telling what my Jag replaced LOL

1) will check the fuses & battery to see if they look healthy
2) Had no idea there is software on a car to be updated.
3) Yes I told the service guy that rotors were warped that needs to be cut on the car (or how ever to get acurate cuts) had that done on my other car because it would fish tail when I applied the brakes on a turn. The sJaguar ervice guys told me that took the rotors off and put new ones, measured or what ever they do and said it was fine. They said they hooked it up to a machine and made some adjustments. When they gave the car back it didn't feel as bad but still did it. (new cars are getting too complicated). They really can't seem to feel it, not sure if it is because I do not wear shoes while driving, never have and it's a certain speed.
So if and when I take my car to the dealership, what should I tell them?
