the only difference I did, was to use Hertz Mille speakers - simply because I snagged 4 OEM boxes at a foreclosure sale.

i might ping you about your wiring diagram - I want to add a real sub to the xk8 after I do the seat-delete, and I have a spare pioneer amp that I think we can switch to mono.

Did you use a wiring adapter or run all new wiring? I have a 96 XJR with the HK amplified system and am looking to use the same head unit, new speakers, new amp, and a Basslink in the trunk. Wiring should be all reusable with a harness adapter for the head unit, correct??

My car didn't have the Premium HK amp system. My factory radio had the speakers wired directly from the radio.
I'm not sure how the HK system is wired. Installing a new amp might require a complete rewiring and routing of the speakers and line level RCA cables. It's a little different than my installation.Still not all that hard. The speaker wires from your amp are probably the same color as the non HK diagram here.
1996 Jaguar XJS Stereo Wiring Information
I didn't use a wiring adapter. I hard wired the new radio into the factory wires. Very easy. Also very easy to put everything back the way it was. The speaker wires from my amp runs up front and splice into the factory radio harness.
I've done a lot of my own alarm and sound system installations over the years. Jags are not any more complex. Very easy.

Just wondering if you are still able to use the cd stacker?
