20th Anniversary X300 meet at Coventry Transport Musuem 14 September
Everyone's favourite saloon is now 20 years old!
To celebrate, the Jaguar Enthusiast's Club X300 forum is meeting at Coventry Transport Musuem on 14 September. We have permission to park 20 cars at the front of the museum, provided everyone brings a drip tray.
There are probably more JEC members on here than the actual JEC forum, so I figured it was worth a mention but non members should get in touch too - I'm sure if there's room, the organiser could be persuaded.
I'm now going to see if I can rustle up a cake.

Hi JPster,
Thanks for pointing out this event. It doesn't seem to have been well publicised. I can't find any reference to this event in the July, August or September issues of Jaguar Enthusiast magazine. However, there are some details on the x300 bulletin board on the JEC website, which I have copied below. I intend to go and will put the word out as best I can.
"Anyone interested in visiting Coventry Transport Museum?
I have booked a visit for Sunday 14th September 2014 - initially for 20 cars to park in front of museum.
If anyone is interested, please let me know (how many persons / how many cars), so I have some idea of how many want to participate.
The plan is to park up for around 10.15am & need to vacate by 4.30pm latest.
You MUST have a drip tray under your parked car - museum rules i'm afraid!"

I wish you a good meeting. I would have liked to attend - but will be walking on Anglesey! It is a pity since I spent my first 24 years in Coventry. I worked in the motor industry serving my apprenticeship with Humber-Hillman (Rootes, Chrysler and so on) I left and joined Ford who, of course were responsible for the X300. I now live a peaceful existance in Chester tinkering with my classics - all Jaguar products.
