My XJ6 arrived today, silver mist, 120K mi. The PO spent $13K just on repairs in the last seven yrs., 25 K mi., and almost everything has been replaced other than front suspension. That includes rear shocks, rear main seal, trans. seals, diff. seals, flex coupling, A/C comp. & drier, O2 sensors, ign. coils, ABS module, rotors & pads- anything his mechanic said he needed.

Anyway, my reason for posting is to ask if the car was clear coated. I am confident it has not been repainted, I have all records since about 10K mi., and I also have painted a number of cars. The finish is almost new, and the leather also. It has always been garage stored.

Also, I wonder if I can use the same yellow antifreeze I use in my XK8. I know antifreeze is a bad word, the opinions come flying, but a spec. from 1995 is not very meaningful today.

Don't tell me to post pictures, I need to fix my camera.
