Hey dean. Welcome to the forums! Can't really help until you change the coil! I doubt it's an injector, as usually bad injectors happen in bunches!

RE: 96 jag firing order help xj6
I have been looking for the firing orderand all I find is:1 5 3 6 2 4 so it looks like the 1996 is no different than a 1986.
But please don't hold me to thatorder.I am not familiar with your model/year. Also your car is officiallyan X-300, not an XJ-6. What I would do is call a local Jaguar dealer and ask the Service Department Mgr.. While you have him/her on the phone, ask about any Recall information for your VIN. |

;) hmm that is not a bad idea i think i will do that only problem is i live in tx and the closest jag dealer is in oklahoma. i have the number and i think i will call them. thanks again for all the help one thing im not sure of is i keep geting the response that the cylinder order is 1 5 3 6 2 4 but do i start the count at the radiator and front of the car or do i start the count at the back of the car like the front winshield. thats what im just not sure about. thanks again

in my 3.8 and 4.2 engines, the #6 cylinder is the one at the front of the engine, nearest the radiator. But this is not my area of knowledge.
