We have a 1997 XJ6L that we bought a couple years ago for my wife. She has always wanted a Jag. We love it. Lately, we have had several difficulties. our local mechanic diagnosed the "Ignition Coil Pack" first on one cylinder then another finally a third. Replaced them all. Then a code came that he could not interpret.
We have limped along until we were able to move to our new town, etc. etc.

How can I repair Codes:
P1775
P0303
P1316
P1790
P1313

P 1775 Xmsn Malf Ind Light � indicates when an emission-related fault is present in the transmission.
P 0303 Misfire detected � cyl 3
P 1316 Misfire rate above limit
P 1790 not yet found�.sorry
P 1313 misfire rate catalyst damage � Bank 1

Did you ever find definition for code p1790 ?

P1790 - TPS signal out of range

- ECM to TCM TPS signal circuit: open circuit,
short circuit to ground or B+ voltage
- ECM TPS signal output error

I think you should also have Trans MIL on with this code.
