AJ16 Exhaust Manifold Diagram for Turbo

Hello All- I've bought a used AJ16 cylinder head and plan to use it to mock up a turbo exhaust manifold complete with the air injection and EGR connections. The plan is to install the turbo towards the front of engine and fabricate a turbo outlet flange pipe that connects to the two factory down pipes and catalytic converters. I can measure the outlet ports and stud pattern for water jet file creation but remember reading once (correct me if I'm wrong) XJRengineer may already have a diagram in CAD format or a format I can convert to AutoCAD. I'd reach out to XJRengineer directly but have less the 10 posts. If someone can confirm XJRengineer has this file or let XJRengineer know I'd be interested in this file I would appreciate it.

Such a cool car and the whole story about Brock and the design is amazing .

What is left to finish?

What's left to finish? Everything! By design, the kit intended to replicate the Daytona Coupe race car. I'm trying to elevate the car from race car to mid-sixties sports car; complete with stitched leather interior, wipers, heat and A/C. To accommodate the A/C unit I moved the engine and firewall forward 4 inches; moving everything forward also creates much needed leg room. Since the Coyote engine has no power steering pump I'm using a modified electric power steering motor from a Saturn Vue. Pedal height and position? Take of your shoe and weld the pedal brackets where you need it...

I've replied to the message about exhaust manifold flanges, which I still offer. If you are planning a turbo conversion, I would strongly recommend fitting two smaller turbochargers than one large one. The exhaust pulse tuning will work much better, and the turbocharger response will be much better too. Having seen the photos of your Cobra Daytona replica, it looks like you are well up for a twin turbo Jaguar AJ16 project.

I'm glad to hear that you still offer the flanges as I have cleared out some projects and was just about to reach out to you for them. I'm planning to use a pair of TD04 turbos from a VW 1.8T. Boost comes on way down low and I think they will be a good fit..

Glad to read that you are planning to use a pair of turbos, not just one large one. TD04 sounds like a reasonable starting point, but it depends on the actual compressor and turbine size and A/R ratio, and what performance you hope to achieve. There are examples of AJ16 engines which have been modified to produce around 500bhp. If you are going to all the trouble to build a twin turbo version, I would be incline to pick a pair of turbos that capable of producing this level of performance to make it worth your while. have you also thought how you are going to control the fuelling because the standard air flow meter and injectors will not have sufficient capacity.
