Hi, I have a new AJ16 cylinder head assembly and new cams, but it has no tappets. It looks like the part number for the tappet is NBC2543AA, but appears unavailable, but the NAC2543AA is available at a sensible price.
My question is, as the geometry such as the outside diameter, height etc are the same, but the mass differs, can I install the NAC2543AA tappets instead of the original NBC2543AA version?
Any one with experience of this swap?
Thanks

I’ve just looked them up and can see why they have stock….. £669 a set!!!! I guess they never sell any at that price!
Welcome. Honestly, I'd buy another used head off of eBay or a salvage yard...buying individual pieces for these is not cost-effective at all.... I would replace the valve seals (probably can get away not doing that too if it's not too used), clean it up and slap it back onOriginally Posted by Clouder
