Any UK owners interested in attending seminars on XJ40/X300 or AJ6/AJ16 engines
The Jaguar Enthusiast Club are considering holding a joint seminar on XJ40/X300. However, it will only go ahead if there is sufficient interest, which so far there isn't. If you want this event to take please, then please register your interest by email with the club's editor Nigel Thorley nigel.thorley@jec.org.uk. The club is also considering a seminar specifically on the AJ6/AJ16 engines, but the same situation applies. This seminar will only take place if sufficient people register their interest.

Dear All,
The date of the seminar on Jaguar AJ6 & AJ16 engines is 21st March 2015 at the Visitors Centre at Castle Bromwich. David Marks and I will be giving presentations on various subjects during the day. I've just finished the first draft of my presentation titled " Improving the Performance of AJ6 & AJ16 Engines". I hope people will find it interesting. If anyone has got any specific points that they would like me to cover, then please make any suggestions here and I will try to includes them.
Now I'm onto my second presentation. This one is on the engine management systems fitted to AJ16 engines. Again, if anyone has any requests for points they would like me to cover, then please let me know.
David Marks and I will do our best to cover all the items that we think will be of interest to member, but it's always helpful to have owners' input.
See you all on 21st March

France or the West Midlands?
I can't fault the desire to attend but can tell you've never been to the West Midlands!

Pre-booking is essential. More details of the event and contact details for booking are available on the JEC website www.jec.org.uk. It is unclear whether this event is open to non-members, but there is no harm in asking.

Being far from the place I also vote for some kind of webinar. Many thanks to you Engineer for sharing your knowledge. It's great to be able to communicate with someone who has put his efforts and talent into creation of our beloved cars!
P.s. perhaps there's any chance that V12 engine will also be covered?

Andy,
Like others, I'm tremendously interested, but won't be able to attend. Is there a chance it could be videotaped and made available for sale on DVD or as a webinar for a fee?
Cheers,
Don

I have asked the organiser of the seminar if the club would consider how it might engage with those people (members or non-members) who cannot attend such events in person. Obviously it would have to be done in some way that is fair to those who will have paid to attend in person. I'll post any feedback that I get from the organiser on this subject.

There's a separate seminar for the V12.
Question - are people hanging around the area to go to the spares day at Stoneleigh Park the day after, and if so, are you all stopping at the hotel in Castle Brom or are you going somewhere nearer to the spares day? The hotel in Ryton looks particularly cheap, for example...
