Default Climate Control System Problem

Nor sure whats going on, on my ac control panel when i click DEF nothing happens? I ran diagnostic and it showed 12, 14, 23. I know for a fact that my AC freon was low which i recharged and the code did not come back, as for my temperature sensor, when i click EXT it does show a temperature. Does temp sensor has anything to do with DEF button? any ideas?

I think defrost does its own thing, without reference to the outside temperature. Have you tried clearing the codes?

Sure did! no codes came back except for the temp cluster code. Could it be the control that's defective?

Which code is it that remains? If it is the water temperature code, 14, that could affect operation of the heater, as the system will not attempt to blow warm air until it knows there is hot water to produce it. The defrost should still work though, as it comes on regardless of water temperature.
