HI everybody!

I'm in the process of getting some bushings for the rear axle together. I will replace my whining differential soon, so I would like to replace all bushings in the surrounding area while I'm at it.

I will post a 'how I did it' thread with pictures again after the job has been completed

I'm currently researching the Monostrut bushings.

What I learned so far is that there are 2 standard versions:

Comfort bushing: MJA3715AB1
Sport bushing: MJA3715AB2

Does anyone have experience with these 2 different versions?

Is the Sport bushing much harder than the Comfort? Or is the difference not really noticeable?

I would choose to go with Comfort if they were the same price. However, the Comfort comes in at about 2.5 times the price (around $45 vs. around $17)

So I would really appreciate if anyone could share her or his experience.

Thanks a lot in advance!

Can't tell you difference between sport and comfort but I can tell you I have sport monostrut added to a 95 VDP and it vastly improved the rear end feel. Just way more predictable and planted. I then added poly rear subframe bushings and it tracks even better. Mine were old and not effective. Car had new Bilsteins and shock mounts shortly before all of this being done. Up next? XJR rear sway and some U joints in the half shafts.

I do not feel the ride quality has been compromised in any way.

Hi Ric!

Thank you very much for your reply!

I'm happy to know that you didn't notice a negative impact on the ride quality, even with your poly rear subframe bushings. I will just go ahead and order the sport bushings then, hoping that they will also have no negative impact on the smooth ride. I also have a new pair of Bilsteins and the shock mounts sitting here

I'm looking forward to installing all the new parts, and I will share the process with pictures and then my first ride-impressions once we're on the road again

Thank you again to everybody who read this post!
