Custom brass radiator
Finding a decent radiator for our cars is near impossible, so after weeks of looking for one I decided to have one built. It is my hopes that a larger high efficiency radiator will bring air intake temps down because from what I can see the sc cooler's coolant does mix with the radiator coolant. Should anybody have any questions or comments please post, I will post a pic as soon as I radiator comes in.

FWIW......
People who know much more than I do have mentioned that the "mixing" of the two systems is minimal.
Nevertheless I (paritally) divorced the two systems. I'll see if I can find my notes with temp readings taken with an infra-red thermometer but I recall the numbers were very small....and I certainly didn't feel any difference in power.
Love to see pics/results of your efforts
Cheers

Doug,
the new radiator will have three 1/2 inch tubes and 3/8 centers this should give the engine a 50 % increase in cooling, at least I think it will, what it will do with the intercooler remains to be seen. Our stock radiators have one 1 inch tubes with 3/8 centers. I strongly suspect that the mixing of the two systems is a bit more then minimal because if you were to empty your radiator coolant and place water ONLY in your radiator you will find water in your sc box up top your engine. this project was only out of frustration with a leaky radiator and the inability to find a new replacement. It was a bit costly at 850.00 but it will be the last radiator i will ever buy. pics coming this Wednesday or Thursday.

Finally installed the radiator and I did notice a drop in overall engine temp. My engine temp would sit right in the middle now it is down to just about one line to the left, how much cooler this is I dont know but I was hoping for a little more. The radiator was a little big and a tight fit. The tanks are at 3 inches, should have had them at 2 1/2 and the cores are just right at two inches with 3 half inch tubes. Will post pics of the radiator when I get them downloaded on my computer. Next I should check the intake air temps and see if any benefits were had.
