Thanks for your enquiry. Your bracket was posted on 24th June, so hopefully you have it by now, or will do very shortly.

Will work the weekend, so I'll be installing it the beginning next week, can't wait.

Thanks and the best

Just thought I would chip in and say that this is a great mod, my uncle bought it for christmas for me, and all I can say is that the difference was immediate! Fuel economy went from 25.8 to 27.3 immediately, and the throttle response was greatly improved.

Fantastic, and well worth doing

My neighbor across the street bought a '93 XJS. I'm going to give him your business card...

25.8 to 27.3? MPG or KPL?

UK MPG, I'm not sure how this converts into US MPG (are gallons different between the two nations?)

US gallons are 20% smaller than UK gallons. 3.78 litres vs 4.54L

I just installed the bracket today, and the difference in throttle response is amazing. I don't know how this has affected my mileage since I tend to drive with a lead foot.

Hi Raymond47,
I think that you have included some text from a very old post in your reply, that indicates that we are currently out of stock of brackets and will not have any more until 4th October. That post must at least be from last year, as it is a long time till October, and we currently have brackets in stock.

To answer your question, most owners report a 1-2mpg improvement in average fuel economy, if your driving style remains unchanged.

I've had this mod on my 4L X300 for over 3 years now. I don't measure fuel economy around town but on long trips economy it's up by almost 2mpg. Can't say I've ever measured any performance times but it certainly feels a bit quicker. If I ever buy another AJ16 engine I'll buy another bracket

I've finally installed my bracket on my XJR6, and it immediately feels much more enthusiastic around the city. Haven't taken it on a long drive or pushed it hard, but even with these most basic changes I'm very happy with it. I already have a cone filter pod so in terms of bolt-ons it's all set.

Tiny, the 95 XJR is hopefully a straight 6, or you've been sold a pup!
Probably better to start a new thread about the hood ornament

Hi xjrengineer, do you have any thoughts about the other mod of fitting larger crankshaft pulley to increase supercharger speed?

Fitting a 10% larger crank pulley is a popular modification which has been successfully used by many XJR6 owners.
