Default A good tune up

Hello everyone,

I recently picked up a 1996 xjr and man what a car, I want to go through the car and give it a good tune up I intend to:
- replace spark plugs
- replace air and fuel filter
- replace all the belts
- flush the transmission and replace the filter
- change the oil

Anything else I should check or service? The throttle body perhaps? Should I mess with the radiator hoses? Should i replace the ignition coils or plug boots? The car runs fine just giving HTC the attention it deserves. Thanks for your time.

I'd change the diff oil as well. Lube the u-joints while you're at it.

Don't forget to repack the front wheel bearings if in doubt as to when last done. Same for flushing the brake fluid

Clean the MAF sensor--- 10 minutes with MAF Cleaner aerosol

Lower radiator hose is a huge job but if the hose is original it's better to tackle it in your garage than in some po-dunk town in the middle of nowhere.

Throttle body cleaning is another big job....but very easy if done at the same time as the lower radiator hose

Coil failures are all but inevtiable. Considering the cost I'd wait till the need actually arises.

Cheers
DD
