Have you considered HID? About $200 for both hi & lowbeams.
Jaguar HID Conversion Kits | Low, High and Bi-Xenon HID Kits for Jaguar Of course projectors are possible as well. But sorry, I've no clue about 5.25 tp 5.75 sealed beam swaps. https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/a...ine=1380335669 https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/a...ine=1380335669 |
You can try the headlight frames from a previous generation series 3 BMW although they might need some surgery to fit exactly because there is one per side, not four total.
They take a pair of 5.75 on each side, and are staggered like those on the X30x series Jaguar. They can sometimes be found new on ebay. danielsternlighting.com has a limited stock of the Cibie H4 lamps to match the housings. |
Thanks, I will explore some of the ideas -- Thanks again guys Satterfield

can anyone tell me where I can get a setup like Suede has shown in his 2 pictures? Unfortunately the link does not work anymore - I guess it is too old now :-)
by the way, what is the size of the headlights needed for replacement on 96' XJ6 Jaaag? thanks a lot! |
X300 headlights are not round. They have a forward cant.

you can modify the car to use aftermarket led style headlights.
there is a bit of work to do this involving making custom brackets and changing the wiring. https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...-units-255475/ |
thanks for your reply.
I just have the issue that I don't want to have LED in particular. So I'd like to have the older look like halogen headlights have but with the rings.... wiring and custom brackets are no issue for me, since I have a big size 3D printer and a lot of electrical equipment :-) |
