So, I am under my XJR getting everything prepped to replace the rear shocks and notice that it appears that some of the exhaust system is stainless steel.

I didn't think any of the exhaust was stainless, although I didn't really put much thought into it.

On most of the XJs I've seen in wrecking yards, their exhausts seem pretty ratty/rusty, so I assumed the exhaust was simply aluminized steel at best.

But again, looking under my car, it appears that at least the rear resonators and attached pipes are stainless, however it also looks like some of the connecting (not welded on) pipes may be just steel as they do have surface rust.

So, am curious how much if any of the stock exhaust is stainless and what type?
