How to "Search" ....
 

I don't understand how the "Search" function works.
For instance: If I have a question about the keys for my '96 X300 and I type "X300 Keys" into the "Search Forums" box at the top, right-hand corner of the page (after I've selected "Jaguar Models-Modern" and then the XJ6 (X300) option on the left side "Forum" box....what I get back after hitting "search" doesn't look like I've searched for anything!
It seems to not make any difference what I type into the search box.
What I would like to see is something about the keys for an X300.
Is there a better way to search where I get to see things about what I am searching for?

Jimi - if you are selecting the "Search this thread" link on the top right corner - then it will only search within the thread you have open - which may appear as though nothing is happening

near the upper middle of the page, you will see the word Search with a pull down arrow. Click that and select Advanced Search. Enter your keyword, then over on the right hand side, scroll down and select the X300 forum. Then scroll down and click search.

I ran a search using X300 keys and pulled up 297 threads, while using just the word keys brought up close to 500 threads
