Inner tie rods

The never ending to-do list continues to grow... As well as being a pita itself, my front brake swap led me to discover my rather worse for wear track rod ends... And an inner tie rod with no thread on it for a new locknut!

So what's involved in swapping an inner tie rod, or would I be better off with a new (used) rack, complete?

Cheers all!

In addition, does anyone know whether an X308 inner tie rod will be the same? I can't find one that specifically says it's for an X300...

I think I've convinced myself that they're different. :( Looks like I'll be seeing whether the old one can be made to work (the new rod end is slightly shorter), or finding a new rack.

Anyone fitted an X308 rack to an X300? I know of one available locally...

Got away with using the old rods, thanks to the shorter new rod ends.

I gather the X308 rack (or some of them?) is a different ratio? A faster rack would be a nice upgrade at some point, even if it's not turned out to be necessary immediately.
