My father just bought an XJR6 and the guy threw in a spare 6 disc changer he had. We've hooked it up to his XJR6 and it works fine. However, I am having a great deal of trouble finding the wire to plug it in. I would have no problem going ahead with the install but I obviously need this first. Does anyone know where I can find it or what that wire is called? Thanks in advance.

 

How did you 'hook it up' and see that 'it works fine' if you haven't found the wire to plug it in to?

The wire comes over the fuel tank, so pull out the two plastic studs and drop the boot (trunk) lining. Poke around on top of the tank and see if you can find it - it's probably coiled up somewhere.

 

I plugged it into my dads xjr with the premium sound but my xj6 is just the base model with no premium sound. Would the wire be there even though I don't have premium sound? When I installed my subwoofers I don't remember seeing any wire like that coming out of the back of the head unit or seeing one when I ran the wire through the back
