Good evening! I am very interested to learn about this rally. Is it a banger rally? I live in Gibraltar but have a breakers in La Linea. Last year we had the Gib or Bust rally here and for those who didn't want to drive back bought a lot of the cars for scrap. We even had an S Type with a full golf course ensemble on the roof: astroturf, clubs, flag and *****!!

Let me know. If nothing else it would be nice to show you my old XJ6 and get a photo with your car!!

All the best
Sam.

Great to hear from you, we need a contact in Gib. Some of the guys are going to try and sell / scrap their cars, including a couple of Jags.

Stu if the car goes to scrap may I please have the spoiler from the rear deck?

Sounds like an incredible journey. Safe travels.

Any ideas of the spoiler manufacture ?

Kinda works for me if modified a bit shorter and detachable without bolting on to the rear quarter panel or rear boot

Good old e bay, it clamps around boot lid but will damage your paint work. Looks good though.

see the inside portion of the up arms use a threaded barrel nut with a Philips head screw on the outboard side gives the option of inserting your own up arms of shorter height

The 3 trunk lid clamp screws can have stainless steal strips with protective rubber to not harm the trunk lid paint

Maybe even cut down the original up arm metal

Drive has been amazing, car hasn’t missed a beat. Super comfortable, ok on fuel for what she is. I am home now and brother is driving her back.

Well done Stuart and for a very worthy cause as well. Hopefully you'll keep the car on the road once she gets home again - few mods of course to put her back to normal!! Enjoyed the FB live updates looks like you all had a blast which is what its all about!!

The dual carriageway round to the Rock isn't usually that clear of traffic!
