On a recent visit to the mechanic I was advised that my '97 XJR needed the factory transmission seating replaced. The mechanic said that Jaguar had an upgrade from the "foam" seating, and that the change should be done sooner rather than later. The cost estimate was about $450 for labor and about $300 for parts.
Has anyone any experience or thoughts on this?

 

Hey Joe,-- I've no direct experience, but after 15 years a flexible mount must be worn out.

How DIY are you?

The transmission on a supercharged Jaguar bouncing up and down under load, is not a good thing.
