Lucas Fuel Injector D3165KA vs D3165AA
Anyone know the difference?
The AA has a green band, the KA has a red band.. but they are both 3165's Both have the double barrel fuel outlet on the bottom. ?? |

Hi Kev, The Technical Service Bulletin attached and at the link below indicates that the green-band AA injectors replaced the red-band KA injectors: http://www.jagrepair.com/images/TSB/...tification.pdf Apparently the red-band D3165KA injectors are the version installed in the factory, but when Jaguar service departments replaced defective injectors they were to use the green-band D3165AA injectors, which must be the later version. My guess is that there may be a slight difference in flow-rate, which the ECM will adapt for by adjusting injector on-time/pulse width, but the impedances should be very close if not identical.
