Default In need of [front] exhaust components

Hello, everyone,

I'm in need of some exhaust components for my 95MY Jaguar XJR 4.0 (North American spec). More specifically, the front down pipe which includes the 2 cats and cut-outs for the o2 sensors as pictured here:

I'm having difficulty finding anything under $400 for this part. Ideally I'd like to purchase here in Canada, or even the USA if shipping/duties cost permits. Also having difficulty locating a diagram showing the necessary gaskets/misc. hardware located at both ends of this piece. I've been met with confusion having seen various options such as slip fit vs flared, and with/without olive, etc.

If I had a diagram showing the parts I need it would be easier to shop for the better price, however, it's starting to look like I may just have to find a cheap parts car. Any assistance locating an official Jaguar diagram of the exhaust components or reasonable pricing on a replacement part as shown above would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

The picture you posted shows the "slip joint" type. It refers to the connection at the end of the downpipe.

The other choice is the "flared" type...sort of a bell-shaped joint with a seal ("olive") where the two bells butt together.....the other "bell" being on the adjoining pipe.

Cheers

Thank you for linking to a diagram, Doug, it appears to be the best I've seen thus far.

Doesn't seem fair to ask a vendor for every necessary part without buying from them hence my request.

Thanks for all your help, not with just my queries but the countless others you've helped here, and beyond, too, I'm sure.

Shaune.

While we're here can I ask what those cables do in the original picture? (and I too will thank Doug for his generous use of his time to help me and others).

Not cables, although at a glance that's what they look like in that pic. Those are the oxygen sensors.

I too could use this part. Some PO cut the ends of mine and did a crap job of trying to weld in a piece instead of the olive. but I think that I'll let it go for now since my exhaust manifolds are cracked. 1+1= too much money.

Although, $400 seems reasonable for the downpipe as it is quite a piece of kit. Adding in the new manifolds puts the job into the "only if I have to" catagory.

take a look on the for sale portion of this site. There was a member in canada who was selling a brand new downpipe for his xjr6. last I heard he still had it but he did not get back to me about the purchase, otherwise I would have bought it.
