That will be the Not In Park micro switch that has failed.

Easy to replace with a cheap common micro switch from ebay or electronic stores.

Lots of threads on this common issue so a search for "Not In Park" should get you what you need.

Here's a couple of threads that deal with the issue

Yes it's the small black switch. You will need something a bit like this

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/5-x-Lever...8AAOSwc3ZUpTZR

You will need to get the old switch out and check the dimensions to get a replacement as near the same as possible. There are lots of different shapes and sizes.

Check also whether the original is NO or NC (Normally Open/Closed) as I can't remember. I think probably NO.

There also is a dimension that the button on the switch itself must move before it actuates and " makes " . This is different then the metal arm that is between the target and the micro switch . Not easy to specify when purchasing but important in operation if it "makes " the switch .

An example would be the park switch inside the windshield wiper gearbox

Be very cafefull of the brittle plastic in the shifter box chrome surrounds

The 2 screws on the top of the latge blue linear switch look to be a 4 pointed # 2 Philips or am I not seeing well as I need to remove one .

Screws are Pozi #2 rather than Phillips.
