Hello all, I aquired my first jaguar today! It's a 1995 XJR 6 cylinder supercharged bought as a non runner (from a friend, so I don't think I've been done!). Had a quick look round it earlier and have found that I have no feed to any of the coil packs when cranking.

The back story is that the man I bought the car off was having intermittent trouble with the neutral switch but with a bit of wiggling could get it to go. Then one morning it wouldn't go at all so he called the AA and they told him to replace the crankshaft sensor. He did so but to no avail and so parked the car up for 2 years until I came along and relieved him of it. The car still has the intermittent fault with the neutral switch but can be made to crank. I pulled the spark plugs and checked them and there was no spark from any of them so checked the wires to the coil packs and found that there is no power there at all. We've also noticed that the car won't crank in "park" but will in neutral, is that correct or is that another underlying problem?

Has anybody experienced this before or help in any way? Thanks very much
