Dash lights
Hello Paul here. My 95 VDP also has the odometer dim on one side. Can someone
write back which bulb number it is to replace it with? Thanks PS I'm looking for a driver seat control module for my 95 with the part number LNA2165 AD it needs to be that number for the electrics to match up. Again Thanks. |
There are 2 screws on the bottom of each binnacle (the pods with your lighting & cruise control) to the left and right of the steering column. After removing the covers which those screws secured, take a flashlight and locate the single screw on both the left & right which secures the shroud that's atop the instrument cluster. You'll then remove that shroud and you'll have a clear view of the instrument cluster from above. You'll need to remove the instrument cluster to access the bulbs. They are simple twist lock bulbs. The bulbs & their holders are one unit and the new bulbs you purchase will come installed in their own holders.
Reassembly is simple reversal, with one caveat: It's easiest to plug in the two power plugs from beneath since there's precious little working room to try to plug them in from above. When laying on you back beneath the steering column, you'll have a clear view of the back of the instrument cluster and can easily see the plugins. |
