Rough idle after pulling intake to clean throttle body 97 XJR P0301, P1313
Hey guys. I am new here and just took on what I thought would be a smooth project.
Well I was having a sticky throttle and wanted to take care of it
once and for all. I went with the removing intake approach. I
thought everything went well, pulled intake, cleaned TB, lubed with
syth. grease etc. Put it all back together and no more sticky
throttle but getting a very rough idle and the engine is shaking quite a bit at idle.
I got 2 codes, P0301 and P1313. Before I did this today it ran
great with no check engine lights ever. So it is definitely
something I did. I was wondering if anyone had this same problem
when they cleaned their TB. I have a 97 XJR. I checked for vacuum
leaks with carb cleaner and didn't find any. I am quite sure I
plugged every sensor back in. Not sure what I did wrong.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

First of YOU ARE NEW, welcome to the real world. Enjoy your stay, and your car, fun will be had, trust me.
I would retrace your steps, yeh I know its a pain, but something is not as it should be.
I remove the trunking from my 3.2 NA at every oil change to easily remove the oil filter, and so I can wipe it all clean, and the throttle body as well, and refitting that trunking can be a challenge, and if it is not fitted "just right" the engine is real unhappy.
Sometimes the solvent used to clean the throttle disc/shaft, can run down that shaft and enter the TPS *(gravity has that effect), and that could be giving you grief. I have cleaned my TPS with that type of solvent and compressed air, and NO damage, so maybe a good blow out with air might assist.
It will be something simple, and as you said, and it will be related to what you have removed and replaced.
Just curious, where in the world is "TN", your location. I am assuming some code for somewhere in the USA ????????.

Update. It is fixed and running great. It was a vacuum leak at the intake manifold. I had to take it all apart again and this time I used a sealant on the gasket.
Throttle is great now. Just like new maybe even smoother. I used a synthetic grease to lube all the joints and cable etc. Worked great.
Highly recomend sealant on the intake gasket.
Thanks Again.
