Took the train from New Orleans to Slidell this morning (beautiful route along the river then over the lake), and picked up my jag. exterior is almost perfect. The suspension is tired but that shouldn't cost too much. I'm going to do it all the way around. Other issues I might need some advice on:

The sunroof is missing a part of it. I think it might be stuck inside the roof of the car

The glove box is missing hardware

The key fobs were dead and need reprogramming

I seem to have locked myself out of the trunk by pushing the valet key. I opened it earlier but now can't

The turn signal doesn't switch off automatically after I've made a turn.

 

The trunk has a key hole on the car's right and the linkage can be frozen if not lubed periodically

otherwise the switch on the instrument cluster

As a last resort you can drill a hole behind the licence plate to unlatch the trunk

The battery can be charged from the front hood

Never place the battery in backwards

There are a couple TSBs on the Fobs starting at # 18.05 and Fob parts on Ebay , Make sure of the different 315 and 433 Hz versions

There is a thing called a Jaguar reboot that resolves Security and Locking issues as the SLCU module is hot at all time on the car battery

Always use high quality fob batteries and not the cheap dollar store ones , some have placed the batteries in incorrectly

I was aware of the switch and the key, but the lock was frozen. As was the door lock. I hit them both with some 3 in one and like 30 seconds later all good.

Owning this car is going to be a breeze!
