Taillight problem
I have a 96 VDP and the taillights don't come on. I have checked the fuses in the engine compartment (5A) and they are good.
Another question how do I determine what brake pads I need the parts store says there are 2 different styles. |
When I had no tail lights, parking light or light for the license plate. I had to change a diode (D10) in the Lamp Control Module.

Ben I am having a hard time finding the Lamp Control Module.
Thanks for any help.... |
You can find it in the trunk in the plastic container, it is closest to the battery. If you Google "lamp control module jaguar xj6" you will see pictures on how it looks. The Lamp Module is easy to open and too see if the diode is broken you can compare it to the others. If it is broken you can easily replace it with a new if you can use a soldering iron.

Thanks again Ben....

I found the Lamp Control Module but can't find anything loose in there.
Does anybody have any other ideas before I just bite the bullet and buy another LCM.... |
The diod D10 could be broken as mine was. The diod should only let current pass in one direction and in my car it would not let current pass in any direction. I changed diod, the new diod cost about $ 2 and is much cheaper than a new module.

Where can I get a replacement Light Control Module?
